    Mike Nivens Jr., a 1-year-old black boy, was shot by his mother on Saturday, Oct. 17, in the 7200 block of South Gramercy Place in Manchester Square, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital at 3:59 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
